Surrey Police has pledged to get tough on alcohol-fuelled violence and disorderly behaviour this April.
The force is working closely with licensed premises, and targeting police patrols to cover known hotspots.
Statistically, April sees a spike in violent crimes fuelled by booze.
Detective Superintendent Jon Savell, head of public protection, said: “We know that disorder flares up in areas where there is a concentration of licensed premises and there is a link between this disorder and violence that causes injury.
“We are therefore focussing on a robust approach to policing these areas and dealing with those people whose drunken actions ruin the enjoyment of others.”
Those who continue drinking to excess and injuring others will face bans from certain areas and drinking establishments.
