Croydon Symphonic Band has won gold at the National Concert Band Festival.
The ensemble, conducted by David Cox, took a Gold Award at the Royal Academy of Music, the only community band to receive the accolade.
Invitation to the festival, on Sunday April 1, followed a gold award at the regional festival in Colchester in November last year.
