A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kwame Ofosu-Asare in Brixton.

Nathaniel Okusanya, from Lambeth, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court yesterday (April 2).

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on July 9.

Kwame was found with fatal stab wounds on the Moorlands Estate on the evening of March 2.

The 17-year-old and his friend had visited a recording studio in Brixton and were on their way to visiting a relative of the friend when they were chased by two young men and assaulted, police said.

Kwame, who lived in Catford, died in the ambulance which was taking him to hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed he had died from multiple stab wounds.
