Carshalton College offers a number of flexible part time IT courses for novices and professionals already working in the industry with their course portfolio of Cisco Network Academy courses.

For learners interested in a career in IT with no previous experience, the College offers the Cisco IT Essential Entry Level course which lasts 15 weeks. Studying at College every Tuesday evening, applicants can enrol either in September or January. It is the first step to begin a career and gain employment or progress onto the Cisco CCNA courses.

Carshalton College offers all 4 levels of the Cisco CCNA computer networking qualifications. Applicants are already working as technicians and looking to progress onto roles such as engineers. Carshalton College is unique as offers the four modules at flexible start times and enables the learners to mix at different levels of the qualification. This advanced qualification runs two evenings per week on Monday and Thursdays and each module last nine weeks.

Graduate Success 28 year old Paul Briley completed all 4 modules of the CCNA and graduated in July 2011 to begin a full time job with a well-known race company. His role involves maintaining key systems and project work focused on delivering new and unrivalled reliability in systems that are expected to be high performance and ready at all times. It leads to long and unusual working hours to ensure all key systems supporting business activities including the race cars themselves are ready to perform during the race season.

Paul will be visiting Carshalton College on 7 May to talk to existing students about the opportunities after qualifying and what his role involves.

4 graduates, Alesandro Bruno, Vijay Menon, Stefan Tanse and Imran Bukhari, graduated in 2011 and all went to work on a project with Tadworth School, Chinthurst School for Boys, to set up new IT equipment over the summer holidays. Working with Cisco partner, Leaf, the school decided to upgrade their IT facilities and install a new network. Our graduates provided the installation engineering resource to implement the system using the Leaf references and saving the school costs to stretch the budget further for greater advantage of their students.

Meet the IT Team On Wednesday 16 May 2012 Carshalton College is inviting prospective learners to their Open Event for tours, talks and taster sessions from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
