A big-hearted fundraiser is preparing to cycle 500 miles to Edinburgh in just six days to raise money for Friends of the Earth.
Simon Bennett, 38, from Colliers Wood, will set off from Hampstead Heath on May 6 travelling 80 miles each day.
He said: “This is my most ambitious fundraising challenge yet.
"I chose Friends of the Earth as environmental charities face additional challenges in fundraising, partly due to the fact it is very hard to put a value on saving the planet as opposed to supporting a child or building a school.”
