A school pupil has won a Surrey-wide art competition with the theme of bridging cultures.
Carly Williamson, 10, was one of 34 pupils from seven schools across Surrey who entered the inaugural competition.
The Cranmere Primary School pupil, from Esher, chose to represent the world as an eye.
She said: WThe colours around the eye are the colours of the rainbow and they represent the different cultures and races around the world.
“It shows that they all share the Earth. We live in a world of different cultures but all are equal.”
The artistic pupil won a £25 voucher to spend on art resources.
