An international concert pianist will be running the London Marathon on Saturday.

Phillip Dyson, from Epsom, who plays to sell-out audiences around the world, will be running to raise money for Arthritis Research UK.

He said: "Many, many people are affected by arthiritis in the UK and the London Marathon is one of those events that you want to do.

"I'm looking forward to it very much."

Mr Dyson often broadcasts on the BBC and Classic FM and performs regularly with leading orchestras.

He will performing this year in London, Spain, Ireland and Scotland and in concerts celebrating the 150th birthday of Debussy and the 75th anniversary of George Gershwin. He is also planning to release a new CD.
