Police have cordoned off the scene next to McDonalds where the assault took place.
A man has been taken to hospital after an assault at a fast food restaurant this morning.
Police were called to McDonalds on Brixton Road at about 5.15am and found the man, believed to be in his 40s, suffering from head injuries.
The restaurant has since been cordoned off to the public.
No arrests have been made but police continue to investigate.
The bus lane on Brixton Road is now closed and motorists are facing delays at the junction with Coldharbour Lane.
