Business leaders swapped suits for rubber gloves and took to the streets to persuade traders to vote for Sutton BID.
The local business owners and managers, all part of Successful Sutton, cleaned areas of private land that the council cannot access.
The aim was to show fellow traders the sort of projects that could be undertaken if a business improvement district (BID) was established in Sutton town centre.
