Students at Thames Ditton Junior School, Mercer Close held their own Olympic event on Thursday, May 3, ahead of the Games this summer.
The day included a guest appearance from Olympic athlete, Josh Swaray.
The British sprint champion helped instruct fitness circuit sessions for each of the 12 classes in the school and gave an encouraging talk at lunchtime about what motivated him to represent his country and achieve his dream of competing in the upcoming London 2012 Olympics.
During the discussion he offered pupils many fitness tips and sporting advice.
As part of the event, each child at the school was asked to get sponsored by their family and friends for their sporting efforts.
The money given was to be split between the School and Sport 4 All, a charity that promotes sport among UK children.
The school, the current district cross country champions 2012, will use a section of the money raised for a week of Olympic sports workshops later in the term.
