Footballer Lee Hughes has denied sexually assaulting a woman at a hotel in Purley.
Notts County player Mr Hughes, 35, is accused of sexually touching a woman at the Aerodrome Hotel on December 3 last year, the night before his team's FA Cup match against Sutton United.
Hughes, who previously played for West Brom in the Premier League, appeared at Croydon Crown Court today to plead not guilty to the charge.
He now faces trial at the same court on August 13.
