A large ice-cream cornet torch was carried through East Croydon station on Friday, April 27.
It was all part of the Brighton Fringe Ice Cream Relay which saw the ice-cream torch carried from Bedford to Brighton.
A comedy rock band from Penge, Eccentronic, played outside the station before completing the final leg of the relay.
The Brighton Fringe is England’s biggest art festival, which kicks off on May 5 and runs to May 27.
From May 19, Thameslink programme engineering work will finish and First Capital Connect will be able to run uninterrupted across central London on the Thameslink route at weekends and overnight.
This will make it easier for people to travel to Brighton to enjoy the festival.
