Police were called to Ramilles Close in Brixton at 9.15am on Tuesday.
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 20-year-old woman was stabbed on a council estate.
Philip Dunkley, 34, of Ramilles Close, Brixton, is alleged to have attacked the woman a few metres from his home on Tuesday (May 8) and then taken an overdose.
They were both taken to hospital by ambulance.
Mr Dunkley is due to appear at Camberwell Magistrates Court at a later date.
