The residents and businesses of Thames Ditton host their first traditional summer fair on Saturday, May 26.

Organised by Bradley and Brown’s owner Tracy Blatchford, the village fair will include competitions galore, cream tea, Pimms, sports and dance activities for children.

The fair is designed to bring together the community and celebrate Thames Ditton’s vast beauty and culture.

With its fine selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and small businesses, Thames Ditton has lots to offer and the inaugural fair, from 1pm to 4pm, promises to be a typically British village affair.

Mrs Blatchford said: “Our most flamboyant competition will be judged by couture wedding dress designer Angelia Colarusso so I urge everyone to put on their best Kings and Queens costumes and get in to the Diamond Jubilee spirit.

“Dog lovers are also invited to show off their pampered pooches and the most admired awarded a prize by the village’s resident radio DJ Lynn Parsons.

“Those with a culinary flair should show their wares and present their best cup cake to the proprietor of the Lime Tree Deli, Sharon.”
