The syllabus for the 2012 Sutton Music Festival is now available Now in its 79th year, Sutton Music Festival is firmly established as a regular fixture on the borough’s music calendar.

With cash prizes totalling £400 and a Prizewinners’ Concert showcase event on Sunday December 2nd (with trophy and cash prizes presented by festival president, the Mayor of Sutton) it is an event not to be missed.

Whether you are a budding exponent of speech and drama, a vocalist, the member of a choir or simply enjoy playing a musical instrument, the festival offers people of all ages and standards the opportunity to gain valuable performing experience, as well as enjoying the performances of others.

The initial competitions start a choirs’ day on Friday November 9th, and continue on Saturdays and Sundays throughout November.

• The Choirs’ Day on November 9th will be held at Croydon Minster • All other competitions will take place from 10th to 25th November, on Saturdays and Sundays • These classes will be held at Overton Grange School, Stanley Road, Sutton, SM2 6TQ and Homefield Preparatory School, Western Road, Sutton, SM1 2TE.
