A popular charity craft fair creating by a Motspur Park mum returns for the sixth time today.

The sixth Craft Fair takes place in the church hall at Holy Cross Church, Douglas Avenue, on Saturday May 12 from 2pm to 5pm, which proceeds from refreshments and the plant stall donated to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The organiser, Wendy Day who launched the first fair 2009 after holding small scale sales at her house, said: “The event provides an opportunity to meet up for a chat over coffee and home-made cake; browse, buy and maybe treat yourself to some of the beautiful locally produced crafts and other exciting things on sale from local traders.

“On offer this time, something for the body, the spirit and the soul, for the young and for the old.”

The fair will feature a mixture of regular favourites such as the 'knitting ladies' with their unique, colourful toys, handmade glass jewellery, Phoenix Cards and Usborne Books, plus innovative new stalls including heart-shaped gifts hand-made bird-feeders and hand-crafted aprons.
