The Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership is keen to hear from all uniformed youth organisations which are based within the borough of Elmbridge.
In an effort to produce a comprehensive directory of groups such as army, air or sea cadets, scouts and guide units which operate within Elmbridge, it is asking leaders of these groups to register their details.
The directory will then be made available to enable young people to be signposted to local activities.
Peter Kipps, Elmbridge’s community safety manager, said: “One of our priorities is the promotion of positive youth activities and the various uniformed youth organisations certainly meet that criteria, we would like to help promote their availability and encourage a greater participation by young people.
“The first step is to capture a full picture of what is available, where and at what times.”
They are particularly focusing on groups that take people from the age of eight.
