Patriotic partygoers dug into jelly and ice cream for an early jubilee celebration in a hall built from funds raised from the Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee.
More than 100 congregation members and friends packed into the St John the Baptist Church hall in Old Malden for the tea party on Monday, May 7.
Formerly known as the Institute, the building was built in the late 1890s from funds raised by the community to celebrate Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee in 1897.
