A mother arrested after the bodies of her two babies were found dead in the family home will remain in custody until Saturday, police said.

Felicia Boots, of Killarney Road, Wandsworth, was arrested on Wednesday evening after her husband Jeff discovered the bodies of their children Lily Skye, 14 months, and 10-week old son Tej.

Mrs Boots was taken to a South London police station where she remains in custody on suspicion of murder.

Post-mortem examinations on the children were expected to take place today. It is alleged they were smothered because, according to reports, there were no visible signs of injury.

Wandsworth Council have said the family were not known to social services.

Neighbours said the family moved into the house worth £1.2m just two weeks ago.
