A desperate appeal has been made by the mother of a teenager girl missing for ten weeks.

Sandra Antonio, 15, was last seen my her mother Kumba on February 27 as she left to attend Westwood Language College for Girls.

After failing to show at her Upper Norwood school the New Addington teenager text messaged her mother to say she was coming home, but never arrived.

Sandra, who is the oldest of four, has previously left home during summer 2011 for a couple of nights, in the autumn half term for a week and just before Christmas, each time staying with friends.

Miss Antonio said she had been having trouble with bullying at school and didn’t think Sandra, who turns 16 next month, was with friends this time.

She said: "It has been too long. If she was with anyone responsible they would have made her call. I think she is with a man – she should be in school doing her GCSEs.

"I just want her to come home. If there is anything bothering her let her tell me. Even if she is with a man let them come home together, I miss her, she is my daughter."

The last any of the family heard was on April 20 when Sandra’s aunt called her mobile phone from Sierra Leone.

Miss Antonio said: "At first she didn’t recognise her aunty but when she told her to call me she just started laughing. I don’t know what has happened to her."

The family lived in South Croydon and Addiscombe before moving to Field Way, New Addington, and Miss Antonio hopes she is living in one of those areas.

Sandra is described as 5ft 5ins, of slim build with brown eyes and long black hair. If you know of her whereabouts contact Missing People on 0808 800 7070.
