Ale producer and former Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey made a guest appearance as Crystal Palace Football Club opened Selhurst Park’s doors to host the second annual CPFC Beer Festival.

The CAMRA-backed festival, held in the Holmesdale Road Stand on May 26, included a vast selection of more than 130 ciders and ales from around the UK.

Morrissey, who is the founder of Palace Ale, and a life-long Eagles fan attended to see pints of his produce go on sale.

Attracting almost 2000 guests, the festival showed significant growth from its inception last year.

Crystal Palace chief executive, Phil Alexander, said: "We were delighted to build on the success of last year's first festival and to have just under 2000 people was an indication of how word had spread about what a good day is put on here by all the staff for this event.

"I would like to thank Neil Morrissey and all the breweries for their participation and support."

The festival also included live music and entertainment from the club’s cheerleaders, The Crystals.
