A man with a noose around his neck threatened to jump off an office block this morning.
They were called to the four-storey building in Upper Richmond Road, Putney, at 2am.
It took fire crews an hour to get him down from scaffolding on the top floor of the building.
He was taken to St George's Hospital, Tooting.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We went up to rescue him. He nearly tried to jump, he had a noose around his neck that he had made."
