A daughter will remember her "inspirational mum" who died last year by running 5km on her 18th birthday.
Pebbles Day will run the Epsom Race for Life on June 24, at Epsom Downs Racecourse, for Tracie Day, of Mitcham, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cervical cancer in January 2011, aged 43.
The trainee nursery teacher and 40 friends - Tracie's Angels - will run wearing t-shirts with Ms Day's favourite photo of her mother on the front to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
She said: "I miss her every day and she will be with me when I run the Race for Life on my 18th birthday. She will be proud that I’m doing it. She was an amazing woman and a wonderful mum.
"It was devastating when she was diagnosed - but she somehow knew. She was a very spiritual person, but also larger than life.
"My mum was an inspiration to other women."
