A child psychologist who works with children with special needs has been awarded an MBE for services to education.
Anne Moore has been the chief educational psychologist for Croydon Council for 16 years after joining Croydon Education Psychology Service in 1987.
She said: "I really cannot believe that I have been singled out and recognised in this way. I have been privileged to work with so many dedicated individuals in the fields of psychology and special educational needs over the last 25 years, all committed to improving the lives of children, young people and their families."
Peter Campbell, a former Croydon councillor for the now dissolved Monks Orchard ward.
Mr Campbell, who served the council between 1994 and 2002 was given an OBE for his services to politics.
