Chief Executive of Harris Federation Dr Daniel Moynihan has been given a knighthood.
The former Harris Crystal Palace headteacher will kneel before her Royal Majesty to be knighted after being recognised for his services to education.
Since its inception Harris Federation has gone on to sponsor 13 academies, including three in Croydon in South Norwood, Purley and Crystal Palace.
Dr Moynihan, who lives in south Bromley, said: "It is a strange feeling because it is an award which recognises all the good work of everyone involved with Harris, but only I will be there at the ceremony."
He will be invited to the official ceremony in the next six months.
