Scenes for a comedy about England’s victory in the 2003 rugby world cup were filmed at Immanuel and St Andrews church in Streatham on Friday.
Scores of female extras, including pupils from Dunraven school, took part in staged dance classes in the church hall.
The film, Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson, stars Norman Pace, of Hale and Pace fame, and is based on a play adapted for screen by local director Simon Sprackling and scriptwriter Chris England - who wrote the original play.
Mr England said the town would not be named on screen, adding scenes filmed at Battersea Ironside rugby club would also not include geographical references.
He said: “Streatham has the sort of things that you find in any town. But it has got a very respectable theatrical pedigree.
"It used to be called the Beverley Hills of London because all the actors lived here and in places like Brixton and Balham.”
