A football fan was sitting pretty after winning the ultimate prize ahead of England’s crunch match against Ukraine last night.
As well as the company of two bikini-clad guests, Ian Mackintosh, of Abercain Road, Streatham, was treated to a 51 inch HD television, beer on tap, a mini-fridge, an astroturf rug and two Lazee Boy armchairs, after triumphing in a Zoo magazine competition.
He said: “I never normally win anything so this was a real surprise and even when England eventually lose I can still enjoy the European championships in comfort and in high definition.”
Dharmesh Rana, senior brand manager for Carlsberg, said: "Congratulations to Ian on winning this fantastic prize – only we can offer such a fantastic prize for our consumers, let’s hope England continue far in this tournament.”
Wayne Rooney’s header meant England emerged victorious in the Group D match yesterday, beating the Eastern European hosts 1-0.
They will now play Italy in the quarter finals on Sunday, June 24.
