A film-maker has been selected to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime expedition around the UK.

Paul Evans, from Thames Ditton, was selected to join three others on the expedition, courtesy of Acer.

His journey around the UK will put the new Acer Aspire Ultrabooks to the ultimate test, showcasing the devices’ technology, including instant access and instant connectivity.

Acer hand-picked three of the UK’s most connected, successful and adventurous individuals to form the expedition team.

Mr Evans, 28, will capture the expedition on camera and share it on a dedicated Facebook page.

He said: “I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, knowing there are seven once-in-a-lifetime opportunities ahead of us, but I feel honoured to be involved and have this chance to work on such an exciting project.

“My career as a film-maker relies heavily on technology so it will be great to have the chance to see how the Acer Aspire Ultrabook can help me with my work.”

The 14-day expedition will include a behind-the-scenes celebrity-studded challenge at the Isle of White Music Festival, a live question and answer session with an astronaut, Silverstone speed driving trials, an overnight stay in a haunted house and blindfolded caving.
