Companies entering Epsom business awards are being offered a big discount by this newspaper.

Every company nominated for an Epsom and Ewell Business Excellence Awards can claim a 25 per cent discount to advertise in the Epsom Guardian which sponsors the awards.

The awards were launched last month and with 12 categories there is something that every organisation can take part in for the chance to boost its profile and win great prizes.

The Surrey Chambers of Commerce, which provide business-to-business networking opportunities and support to businesses throughout the county, will be offering a year’s membership to all the winners.

107.8 Radio Jackie will provide £1,000 worth of advertising for the winner of best overall business category.

The winner of the best new business award will win a year’s membership to the Best of Epsom and Ewell, an online listings website providing free promotion for its members, while the Royal Bank of Scotland will present the winner of the best restaurant and pub with two Cross Selenium blue fountain pens worth more than £200.

Ashtead Hospital, a private healthcare provider based in The Warren, is offering a free health check to the winner of the best commitment to the community award.

Sara Olsen, awards coordinator, said she is delighted with the response so far and that the lasting success of the 2011 awards should encourage businesses to get involved.

She said: "Following the launch of the business awards last year, it was really inspiring to hear the success stories of businesses and personalities in our local community and the positive impact winning an award has subsequently had.

"There are many more businesses and individuals out there championing new initiatives and ideas and we would really love to hear from them."
