A man was arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after a large quantity of suspected cocaine, cannabis and MDMA was found in a police raid.

Police found the suspected class A drugs in the kitchen of a property in Wendling Road, Sutton, on July 2.

The substances were seized for forensic examination along with a number of items of drugs paraphernalia.

The operation was carried out by officers from St Helier and Sutton North safer neighbourhoods teams after a tip-off from the community.

Sergeant Barry Lauder, of St Helier safer neighbourhoods team, said:"This is all about local officers responding to information from local communities.

"We will be robust and relentless in our pursuit of local criminals including drugs related criminals."

The operation was carried out as part of Operation Hawk, which involves officers responding directly to community intelligence to target drug dealers, perpetrators of anti-social behaviour and other criminals.
