A man was arrested this morning in Carshalton after a police helicopter search.
Police called at a house in Carshalton after an arrest warrant was issued for a man who had failed to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on July 25 for a charge of disqualified driving.
As police knocked at the door, a man was seen to jump over a fence at the property.
A police spokeman said officers quickly surrounded the area and started a search of neighbouring gardens.
He said their search included the use of the police helicopter and a dog unit.
At 11.06am, officers returned to the same address and found a man hiding in a loft.
He was arrested for failing to appear at court.
A 25-year-old woman in the property at the same time was also arrested for obstruction.
Jonathan Andrews-Bligh is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with failing to appear at court.
