Although not your usual tourist destination, Croydon Crematorium will be conducting tours of the borough's largest graveyard.
On Sunday September 23, the bereavement services at Croydon Crematorium will be holding an open day.
The event at the cemetery and crematorium on Mitcham Road, aims to dispel myths about cremations and offers a look behind the scenes, while staff explain how they look after the deceased.
As part of the open day, there will be tours of the cemetery grounds, which will visit historic war graves, heritage graves, and memorials of interest.
There will also be various types of coffins and memorial options on display, with staff on hand to answer any questions.
The tours take place at 10am, 12pm and 2pm, with regular tours around the crematory throughout the day.
The last crematorium tour will begin at 3pm.
Parking will be in the main crematorium car park, light refreshments will also be available.
