International campaigner for peace Archbishop Desmond Tutu is set to return to the borough.
The 80-year-old, who was last in Croydon in 2010, will host a debate, Conversation for Change, which will also include his daughter Mpho, an ordained priest in the Anglican church.
A Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1984, the South African has been a high profile Human Rights activist and campaigner on issues such as sexual health, poverty and homophobia for 30 years.
Father and daughter will be at The Fairfield Halls on October 23. They are then expected to meet with community and faith leaders in the area as part of the visit.
