Councillor Tim Pollard said those who work in educational and support services need support
A fair for people who work with children and families is taking place at Fairfield Halls.
The event, which will be held on September 26, has been organised by Croydon’s Children and Families Partnership, which includes agencies working with young people and families in education, health and social care.
It is open to any of the estimated 10,000 staff and volunteers who work in these fields. Croydon Council are also launching a new website, croydonpractitionerspace.co.uk that gives important information and guidance to practitioners.
Councillor Tim Pollard, cabinet member for children, families and learning, said those who work in educational and support services need support.
He said: "It is vital that we do everything we can as a council and as a partnership to give them the help that they need to do their jobs to the best of their abilities."
The event takes place in the Arnhem Gallery between 12pm and 6pm and those who would like to attend can contact the organisers at childrenstrust@croydon.gov.uk.
