Diesel spill on the underpass causing chaos in Croydon

A large diesel spill on Sunday night is causing traffic chaos through the town this morning.
Croydon underpass is closed at the Park Lane, George Street junction after the spillage on the southbound lane at 6.30pm last night.
Engineers are assessing the damage and the level of repairs required.
Backed up traffic is causing delays of about 30 minutes to bus services through the town centre, and trams are suspended between East Croydon and Reeves Corner.
