Supermarket staff have helped raise money for Croydon families struggling to make ends meet.
Workers at Sainsbury’s Crystal Palace presented a £3,500 cheque to Home-Start Croydon on Monday, a charity dedicated to helping those in financial troble with children under five.
Phil Sturla, the store manager, said: "We are happy as a store to be helping Home-Start Croydon for a second year, it is a charity that really does help in our local community and as a store that is what we look for when selecting our charity of the year."
