Croydon Health Services (CHS) has launched its first in-house Masters in Public Administration.

The course has been launched in partnership with London South Bank University, and aims to support the Trust's own succession planning, talent management activities and leadership programmes.

At present 24 trust managers are undertaking the three year course, which has been tailored specifically around CHS requirements, to focus on health and wider governmental challenges.

Trust chairman Michael Parker said: "This course is vitally important in equipping our staff with the skills required to deliver excellent integrated care as well as gathering the skills required to be a Foundation Trust.

"It is unique in its delivery and specification as well as pushing the boundaries of public sector management and governance."
