Coffee will be free of charge for 28 minutes every day this month
Coffee will be free of charge for 28 minutes every day this month, as staff at Matthews Yard participate in Stoptober.
Staff at Croydon's only café and co-working space are stubbing out their cigarettes as part of the NHS campaign to get smokers to quit.
Owner Saif Bonar is also giving up, he said: "All of the smoking staff will give up.
"So that our customers can mark the occasion, we will give away coffee for free, at random times for 28 minutes every day during the month."
Thousands of smokers across the country will be taking part in Stoptober during October, challenging themselves to give up the fags for 28 days.
Giving up smoking for 28 days means you are five times more likely to stay smokefree.
