A businessman who raped an 11 year old girl in his office has been jailed for 12 years.

Kamil Hossenbux, 63, of Ferns Close, Selsdon, raped the girl in his office in Elmwood Road, Croydon after telling her family he was taking her there to sort out her Oyster Card.

He groomed the girl by showing her pornography, before kissing her, and performing a sex act on her.

He took his victim back home during the sex attack in 2010. He told her not to tell her mother.

Hossenbux previously ran a language college from the building where the incident took place but has since changed its use to a private care home for residents with learning disabilities and dementia.

He was found guilty last month of rape, sexual assault and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity at Croydon Crown Court on Friday he was jailed for a total of 12 years.

Judge Ruth Downing said Hossenbux had serious sexual issues and that the rape he committed was made worse because he breached the family’s trust.

She said: "It was a case of deception. You passed yourself off as a man of substance but you have a grubby criminal record and you are not a man of substance.

"I accept the prosecution analysis entirely that when you met her you wanted her.

"She is a young girl who had just started school. You corrupted that when you approached her.

She added: "You had some perverted belief that she wanted to learn about sex. It could have turned into grooming.

"You wormed your way in."

"What concerns me with your self-delusion is that you had sex with this young girl in the same way you would with a woman.

"You had adult foreplay with a little girl. You treated this little girl as a woman. You used her."
