Justin Success Brooks of Purley is facing jail after pleading guilty to defrauding Nintendo
A Purley man who cheated video game makers Nintendo out of millions of pounds is facing jail after pleading guilty to fraud.
Justin Success Brooks of Foxley Lane, sold hundreds of unlicensed copies of popular games such as Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, for the Nintendo Wii, DS and DSi consoles.
Today the 41-year-old, who sold the illegal games online between 2009 and 2011, pleaded guilty to seven charges including fraudulent trading, supplying an article to use in fraud and unauthorised use of a trademark.
Brooks was granted unconditional bail pending pre-sentence reports, but Judge Shani Barnes told him: "This is clearly a serious matter and this is not giving any promise of anything other than custody if that is what the sentencing judge decides."
He will be sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on November 9.
