A man who was stabbed in Upper Norwood last week is still in a critical condition.

The victim, who is in his early 20s, is currently being treated at a South London Hospital after being stabbed and assaulted outside a block of flats in Brunel Close.

The assault happened on Thursday 11 October at around 4.10pm.

Last week residents spoke of their surprise that an incident like this had occurred in their area.

A mother who lives above where the stabbing took place, said she couldn’t look as police and ambulance crews arrived to help the victim.

Miss Miller said: “I looked out my window and saw the ambulance and the police. I saw the man lying there with the knife beside him. I didn’t want to see anymore.”

No arrests have been made. Anyone who has information about what happened should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or Croydon Police on 101.
