This is the new and improved bollard that has been brought in to prevent drivers crashing into it.
We reported on September 19 that the bell shaped bollard, on Station Road, South Norwood, was causing crashing chaos after we were told drivers were smashing into the 14 inch bell.
It has now been replaced by a similarly shaped bollard, with a small pole sticking out with reflectors on it to improve visibility.
A Council spokesman said: "After this matter was brought to the council's attention, we have installed a new bell with a post and two reflective strips to make drivers more aware of where the road meets the pavement."
