Access Self Storage in Croydon has launched its Christmas Toy Appeal, in aid of The Children’s Society.

The appeal urges people to donate new and unused games and toys, to raise funds for young runaways and young carers and will also provide support for families of young children who live in poverty.

Matthew Reed, The Children’s Society Chief Executive said: “I am delighted that Access Self Storage is collecting toys to raise money and awareness for The Children’s Society.

“As a charity we rely on donations to continue our vital work supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, especially at Christmas time.”

Over 5,000 toys were collected in 2011, and there are now 56 drop off points across the network of stores.

Drop off points are now open at the Croydon and Purley Way stores. Kevin Pratt of Access Self Storage said: “We are really excited to launch our campaign today and delighted to be working with The Children’s Society.”
