4:40pm Monday 22nd October 2012 in News
The orders will last for six months.
There will be a strong stance on anti-social behaviour this autumn with six new dispersal orders being introduced.
The six-month orders will cover South Norwood, Greenview, Fieldway in New Addington, Aurelia Gardens in Thornton Heath, Croydon town centre and Broad Green.
Orders for South Norwood and Greenview started on Thursday 18 October and will run until Wednesday 17 April. The Fieldway and Aurelia Gardens orders start on Thursday 25 October and run until Wednesday 24 April.
The town centre and Broad Green orders start on Sunday 28 October and run until Saturday 27 April.
Councillor Simon Hoar, cabinet member for community safety, said: “Antisocial behaviour is causing concern in various communities.
“These orders give the police additional powers to calm the situation and to disperse groups who are intimidating residents and businesses.”
