A series of on-site events will be hosted at Battersea Power Station after Wandsworth Council granted planning permission for a new free-standing venue on the southern part of the site.

The new venue, to be named The Power House, will have a maximum capacity of 2,000 people and provide flexible space suitable for a range of events, including product launches, award ceremonies, conferences, parties, fashion shows and weddings.

It will replace the existing Boiler House venue, which is a marquee structure currently situated in the centre of the Power Station.

Recent flagship events at the Power Station have included the Grey Goose ball in aid of the Elton John AIDS foundation, the MoonWalk London’s annual event and most recently the Holi One festival, which saw 15,000 revellers come together to celebrate the festival of colours.

In the past, Land Rover has chosen Battersea Power Station as the venue for the launch of its products, Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton has walked on a tightrope between the chimneys and the spectacular Freeze ski, snowboard and music festival has taken place on-site.

Anyone interested in holding events at Battersea Power Station should contact the events team on 020 7501 0707.
