Croydon Mayor opens new salon

Croydon Mayor Graham Bass officially opened a new salon last week.
Le petit Salon and Spa in South Croydon will collaborate with an independent school to teach pupils about the beauty industry.
The Mayor who was guest of honour, showed his support for the new business cutting the blue ribbon and giving a toast and speech at the grand opening on February 29.
Le petit will work with Educational Excellence Independent School to train pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in salon facilities alongside staff.
The staff will act as role models for the youths, training them about hair and beauty services as well as work ethic and professional attitude.
Operated by Shhh...Straight Hair LTD, with locations in France and Germany, Le petit offers services including hair extension fitting, skincare treatments, nail services and eyelash extensions.
