Tina experiences the Rush of victory again

A Croydon hairdresser has won the coveted title of southern hairdresser of the year at the 2006 British Hairdressing Awards.

Tina Farey, from Rush in George Street, won the award for the third year running at the 22nd annual awards at the Grosvenor Hotel in London's Park Lane.

Tina has now been placed in the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame alongside hairdressing icons such as Trevor Sorbie, Nicky Clarke and Mark Hill.

The ceremony was compered by Jonathan Ross, with entertainment provided by soul singer Jocelyn Brown.

Tina competed against five other talented hairdressers to win the title. She said: "This meant so much to not only myself but everyone connected with Rush.

"This award was also a great tribute to the fantastic hairdressing talent and creativity within the region."
