Business at South Indian style restaurant Chennai Dosa is beginning to heat up following a challenging period during the wintry weather.

The London Road restaurant is planning a revamp of its menu as it attempts to capitalise on better trading conditions as Britain begins to thaw following the big freeze.

Manager Vijay Elangova said more traditional curries would be making their way in to the outlet, with other refurbishment work also due start on the toilets.

He said: “Christmas and January were difficult for us because of the snow and rain, but we’ve come through it thanks to the patronage of our customers.

“The last three weeks have been really good, so we’re going to do our new menu as quickly as possible.”

Chennai Dosa has been a feature of London Road for the past eight years.
