Spanish car showroom creates a dozen new jobs in Purley Way

More than a dozen new jobs have been created in Croydon as sporty Spanish car maker Seat rolled into town on Monday.

The Barcelona based firm will operate from a 12-car showroom on Purley Way, which features a high-tech seven bay workshop and cutting edge diagnostic and servicing equipment.

Seat brand manager Clive Dowdell said: “We’re all very excited about the opening of this new dealership and intend to make it something special.

“Seat is one of the most exciting motor manufacturers to be involved with and we’re very pleased to be able to bring the brand’s unique and dynamic range to Croydon.

“We’re determined to make the dealership the best in Seat’s UK network by providing a top-notch facility and putting the emphasis firmly on customer care.

“But we recognise that a vital ingredient in that will be our staff, and so we are currently recruiting with a view to finding the right people to compliment the experienced management team we’ve already put in place.”
