Croydon-based insurance firm Mondial Assistance will once again be backing the star-studded Croydon Charity Ball by sponsoring the drinks reception.

The glamorous black-tie event is set to take place in a magnificent marquee tent on the pitch at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park stadium.

Mondial’s sponsorship is part of a string of community events planned by the firm in 2010, which have already included mentoring at Castle Hill Primary School and an environmental project at Farthing Downs.

Rosanna Farrar, who is responsible for the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at Mondial Assistants, said: “We are absolutely committed to giving something back to the local community in Croydon, through charity donations and our own projects.

“By supporting this event we can really make a difference to this fantastic Croydon-focused cause.

“The 2009 Ball raised over £35,000, and we hope to see that total even higher this year.”
